The inaugural trip for the Balloon Crew couldn’t have started any better as we made our way to  Albuquerque for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, and that first morning at the mass ascension is something we’ll never forget.

Standing there before sunrise, bundled up with coffee in hand, we watched as more than 500 balloons slowly lifted off into the most gorgeous, crystal-clear New Mexico sky. 

It was the perfect way to kick off our three days together — unforgettable, colorful, and the best kind of first adventure as a crew.

The very first game ever of Lamplightopoly will forever be remembered for two things: a mountain of McDonald’s fries and Scott’s immediate descent into scandal.

As we inhaled what had to be several pounds of salty, golden fries, barely paying attention between laughs and trash talk, Scott somehow managed to bend the rules before we’d even properly finished explaining them. Suspicious large amounts of endless money and a level of confidence only a true rookie cheater could have — the legend of Lamplightopoly was born that night, and so was Scott’s reputation.
