I’m not sure what was worse… Buying snorkels from Nellis when you live in a desert (they can quit anytime), or forgetting to bring them when we finally travel to a lake to swim.
Lake Day!
Our crew headed to South Lake Tahoe for an unforgettable lake day, where the mountain views, clear blue water, and July sunshine made the perfect summer backdrop. We spent the day swimming in the lake, having a few drinks, feeding the geese, and relaxing in the sun without much of a plan beyond enjoying every minute.
The trip was all about soaking up Tahoe, but it became more than just a day at the lake. Between the water, the laughs, the drinks, the geese, and the time spent together as a crew, it was the kind of easy, sunny adventure that reminds you why simple days with great people are usually the best ones.
S’mores time!
Our first group night in South Lake Tahoe set the tone for the whole trip. Down by BaseCamp, we gathered around the fire under the stars, playing cornhole, making s’mores, and easing into the weekend with drinks, laughs, and that perfect mountain-night feeling.
The live music made it even better — especially with the legendary 90-year-olds playing like they’d been waiting all summer for that exact night. Between the firelight, the music, the games, and the whole crew together, it was a fantastic opening night and the perfect start to our Tahoe adventure.
Tahoe Village
Our Tahoe days were packed with the kind of random fun that ends up becoming the best part of the trip. We played Tipsy Putt mini golf and 1-2 Putt, drank craft beers served out of a snowboard, listened to more live music, and wandered through the Village and shops soaking up the summer Tahoe vibe.
Somewhere along the way, there was Champagne, plenty of laughs, and an Old-Timey Photo session that somehow turned into Scott and Nicholas both aiming Tommy guns at Joey while posing — for reasons nobody fully understands, but absolutely everyone appreciated.
